Straight from the Sleaze Box Records crew comes a new remix album. The release titled “Sleazy Actions” will feature 12 previously unreleased remixes. It is by Chicago’s own legendary “discoDustrial” group, “My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult.”

The compilation highlights the best from TKKs releases. All from the past 12 years at Sleaze Box Records. I recently asked Buzz McCoy what prompted the compiling of this release, and he responded, “I was cleaning up the computer and found a folder of unfinished remixes dating back to 2009…so I just decided to revisit all the mixes (which also helped keep me busy in this time of Covid-19) and put together this little dance compilation.”
Also, included is remixed versions of tracks from the “Bomb Gang Girlz” project. The remixes are from the “A Taste 4 Trouble” era. There is also a new track from Buzz and Groovie’s “Darling Kandie” project; which has been dormant for quite a while. “There was [SIC] a few tracks left that weren’t used” as McCoy states, “…basically because I felt they broke up the ‘vibe’ of Sleazy Action.”

When I asked about any plans for a special edition deluxe vinyl release—including any of the tracks that didn’t make the cut—McCoy said, “I’m sure we’ll release them someday, but I don’t see any special vinyl releases coming up…yet.”
